À propos de cette écoute
THE SUNDAY TIMES Music Book of the Year
Faith, Hope and Carnage is a meditation on faith, art, music, freedom, grief and love.
Created from more than forty hours of intimate conversations with the journalist Seán O’Hagan, it is a profoundly thoughtful exploration, in Cave’s own words, of what really drives his life and creativity. The audiobook has been recorded so that the listener, especially when playing through headphones, sits between Cave and O’Hagan.
The book draws candidly on Cave’s life, from his early childhood to the present day, his loves, his work ethic and his dramatic transformation in recent years. The audiobook features 16 musical codas and elements from the Carnage, Skeleton Tree and Ghosteen albums. It also includes an exclusive, additional 12-minute conversation between Cave and O’Hagan about the production of the recording.
Faith, Hope and Carnage offers ladders of hope and inspiration from a true creative visionary.

Thank you so much Seán for having had Nick to make this book with you.
I have loved very much the audiobook and have found it complementary to the book.
I am reading the book, chapter by chapter, in the evenings, as a treat, when my mind is clear enough to still enjoy each word and to fully appreciate.
I was a bit worried first about how a conversation first translated into a book, and then reread as an audiobook would turn. Well, it has turned out very well in fact and definitely sounds like the conversation it probably was in the first point.
Beautiful words, and « hints » to kind of help you to find peace, this is what I ve felt. But I m sure everyone will feel this audiobook in their own way, and this is certainly one of the beauties of it. Thank you Seán and Nick for having taken the time to do it.
